First you will need to register using the 'REGISTER' button in the top menu. Once you are logged in, you can browse our images, and make selections by clicking on the 'ADD TO CART' button. When you are ready, click on the 'SHOPPING CART' button in the top menu. For each image you have selected, you will need to 'CALCULATE USAGE' to find out the usage price. Once all images have been priced or removed from the cart, click on 'CONFIRM ORDER' and follow the steps to make payment. Images will be available for download immediately after payment.
02 What are my payment options?
Currently you can purchase usage through the website using a credit card.
Copyright is a form of intellectual property that gives the author of an original work exclusive rights in relation to that work, including its publication, distribution and adaptation. For most of the images on this website, www.roomimages.com, where the author of the images is the photographer, copyright remains the property of the photographer.
04 Can I print and use images downloaded from the website?
We provide you with a low resolution jpeg which you may use for layout positional purposes. With our features we also provide you with a set of contact sheets for your reference. All other uses are not permitted, unless licensed to do so.
05 How will I receive my order?
Images are available for download immediately after payment from the 'DOWNLOADS' section.
06 I've changed my details, how can I update them?
First you will need to 'LOGIN' to roomimages.com. Then click on the 'MY ACCOUNT' button in the top menu, and select 'PROFILE'. Click in the fields to edit them. When you are finished, remember to click the 'SAVE CHANGES' button located at the bottom of the page.
The advanced search option allows you to search for images using a variety of criteria. These criteria can be combined in one search to further narrow down the results to what you are looking for. The following search criteria are available:
This option allows you to choose which of the two archives to search in. The IMAGE ARCHIVE contains single images that are purchased separately. The FEATURES ARCHIVE contains stories which are made up of a group of related images (eg. for the same house, or for the same theme) and optionally an article related to the images.
The CATEGORY criteria allows you to restrict the results to a particular category eg. bedroom. These categories relate to the items in the navigation bar for each of the archives, however there are also further categories which you can only select here.
The KEYWORD criteria allows you to enter keywords in any combination of the 4 entry boxes;
with all the words
An item must contain all of the words entered in this box to be returned in the results. The words can appear in any sequence and do not need to appear together eg. searching for "white black" would successfully find "black wall with a white handrail".
with all the exact phrase
An item must contain exactly what is entered in this box letter for letter including spaces eg "black and white" would find "interesting black and white photograph" but would not find "black wall and a white handrail".
with at least one of the words
An item can contain any one of the words entered in this box. An item does not have to match all words to be returned in the results.
without the words
An item must not contain any one of the words entered in this box to be considered a match. This criteria takes precedence over any of the other criteria - if an item matches one of the words entered here then it will be excluded from the search results regardless of how well it matches any other criteria that has been entered.
The PHOTOGRAPHER option allows you to select from a list of photographers and view all their imagery within the selected archive.
The STYLIST option allows you to select from a list of stylists and view all of their imagery within the selected archive.
The FILENAME option allows you to search directly for an image by its filename. This is used for finding images you may have previously downloaded a sample of or found on a contact sheet.
The DATE option allows you to search for images by the date they were added to the website. Dates are entered as a range and can be used for searches like finding all images that have been added since your last visit to the website.
